agency is all you need
this year has been good overall.
if there's one thing I've learned, it's that agency is all you need. Seriously, just the ability to look at something and say, "Yeah, I'm gonna make that happen."
but here's what makes agency tricky:
sometimes it feels like a collective action problem. "that VC must get hundreds of cold emails." "why would that professor reply to me?" everyone assumes someone else is already doing it, so nobody does.
but the real trap? thinking everything's zero-sum. "if i share this idea someone will steal it." "if i help them they'll take my spot." truth is, most good things multiply. helping others opens doors.
sharing ideas attracts collaborators. success creates success.
funny how simple yet terrifying agency really is. it's just deciding to act, but that decision? that's the hardest part.
on to the future.
